The Kinshield Legacy
When the mage-king of Thendylath and his queen are slain by a demon, and the only written account of their demise is burned in a fire, the kingdom falls into chaos. For two hundred years, the facts surrounding King Arek's death are locked within the impenetrable palace. All that remains of the king's powerful magic is a tablet embedded with gems and protected by mysterious runes. But then, the gems in the tablet, one by one, disappear.
